Case description: Teriparatide (PTH1-34) is a potent osteoanabolic drug registered for use in cases of severe osteoporosis. Osteoanabolic therapy may also benefit patients with advanced CKD and low bone turnover. This e-seminar discusses the therapeutic options for a patient with CKDG4, osteoporosis and low bone turnover, and the benefits of 18 months of treatment with teriparatide.
