EUROD clinical-pathological case-conference 19th March - watch the webcast!
Watch the webcast: A patient on hemodialysis with a vertebral fracture and low BMD.
On the 19th of March we discussed A patient on dialysis with a vertebral fracture and low BMD. Find out why a bone biopsy was essential for the diagnosis of this patient by watching the webcast here:

The clinical case was presented by prof. Marie-Helene Lafage-Proust from St.Etienne, France and discussed with Neveen Hamdy (The Netherlands), Syazrah Salam (UK), and Pablo Ureña (France).
Brief description: CKD-associated osteoporosis is an important cause of morbidity and mortality. A vertebral fracture resulting from minimal or no trauma establishes the diagnosis of bone fragility and should prompt interventions to reduce future fracture risk. Join us for a discussion of diagnostic and therapeutic options for a patient receiving dialysis, presenting with a vertebral fracture and low bone mineral density.
The session was hosted by the European Renal Association as part of their e-seminar series.
