EUROD Young Investigator Call

The EUROD Initiative is looking for a Young Investigator for 2023-2024! This is a great opportunity for an early-career academic to network and collaborate within the field of CKD-MBD. Apply by 15th May!

A position is available as a Young Investigator within the EUROD initiative

The European Renal Osteodystrophy (EUROD) initiative, under the CKD-MBD Working Group of the ERA, is looking for a highly motivated early-career academic interested in networking and collaboration within the field of chronic kidney disease-mineral and bone disorder (CKD-MBD).

The EUROD initiative was created in 2016, under the umbrella of the ERA CKD-MBD working group, to revitalize bone biopsy as a clinically useful tool and to foster research on the epidemiology, implications, and reversibility of renal osteodystrophy. As such, the EUROD initiative aims to increase the understanding of renal bone disease and ultimately to improve outcomes for CKD patients.

As a Young Investigator in EUROD, you will function as an overall facilitator, providing organizational support for the activities of the EUROD Steering Committee, including educational events such as the yearly EUROD Winter Meeting. Furthermore, you will assist in the efforts to expand the EUROD Bone Biopsy Registry and to harmonize the bone biopsy procedure across centers in Europe.

The EUROD Young Investigator is a non-funded position, offering an early-career academic the opportunity to network with clinicians and researchers with a passionate interest in CKD-MBD. The EUROD initiative facilitates collaborative research, which you will be invited to actively participate in – and there will be opportunities to take the lead in novel research projects.

Applicants should be early career academics (PhD or post-doctoral level) preferably with research experience within the field of CKD-MBD, or clinicians (senior trainees, junior staff) with a strong interest in CKD-MBD.

Please apply by providing a brief biography and description of your interests within the field of CKD-MBD, as well as a formal CV and list of publications, to ckd-mbd@era-online.org by May 15th 2022.
